Alan Kozy

 

 

 

 

 I was brought up in a wonderful Christian home with loving parents and a father that was a Pastor for 40 years. Both my mother and father were musicians and that led me into the field of music. I accepted Christ during a revival with Evangelist Ray Sadler on April 15, 1967. By the time I was in the 10^th grade, I knew that I would be serving Christ in a full-time ministry position. The only interest I had for College was at Toccoa Falls College. Upon graduation, with a degree in Music Education, I began serving in a church/school setting. I taught Bible, Math, PE, and was the Athletic Director and Fine Arts Director at The Master’s Academy for more than 10 years. I had the privilege to coach Basketball and Softball at the Varsity level, winning a State Championship in both sports while in North Carolina. I was ordained into the Gospel Ministry on May 16, 1999, while serving at First Baptist Church of Vienna, Georgia. Another privilege of mine was to serve as Youth Pastor while at Conway First Baptist Church. God blessed the ministry and we saw several young people give their lives to Christ. Today, I am following God’s calling in my life to be in the Pastoral Ministry. It is so awesome to serve at Dover Shores Baptist Church. God has blessed me with a great family and a wonderful church family. I don’t know what tomorrow holds…but I sure know Who holds tomorrow!

 I am very excited about the future at Dover Shores Baptist Church. I serve in a position under a wonderful man of God in Dr. James Fortinberry. My responsibilities include Wednesday night Bible Studies, Visitation, Outreach, and Preaching in our Contemporary Services. I continue to sing in the Choir and the Praise Team ( I cannot stop singing of His greatness). The church is in a prime area to reach so many for the cause of Christ. Our goal and vision is to, “Serve the seekers and build the believers.”
